my first Sherlock Holmes. Loved it!

完整读完的第一本原版，马一下

Though the story seemed less sophisticated, the vivid expressions were already riveting enough; the creative narrative was also worthy of noting. A must-read classic.

现在重读原版，发现儿时曾经完全不明觉厉的摩门教徒那几章，其实并不算是什么高明的故事。只是作为一个伟大系列的开端，它已被赋予接近无限的伴随文本意义了。
