作者講故事一般都多多少少看齣麼些情節的設計是為瞭吸引讀者，討好讀者。門羅的風格很靜，靜靜地講完一個故事，不管你喜不喜歡，也沒有任何嘗試去讓你喜歡。這本書讀不讀得進去全看讀者有沒有共鳴。可惜我能産生共鳴的可能隻有三分之一的故事。

Alice Ann Munro, née Laidlaw, is a Canadian short-story writer who is widely considered one of the world's premier fiction writers. Munro is a three-time winner of Canada's Governor General's Award for fiction. Her stories focus on human relationships looked at through the lens of daily life. She is the winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Literature.
