除了注释太多有点打断节奏之外都很好，不愧是经典，很多地方读起来令人动容。作者是个弗洛伊德的热心读者~精神分析的理论确实很适合作为解释古希腊世界的一种思路。

非常适合和Versnel这种注释狂魔一起配合阅读，基本就能勾勒出相关问题的二十世纪学术史了～精神分析法介入希腊研究的开山之作之一【1951】，野心勃勃的讲座，和Lloyd-Jones、《羞耻与必然性》对读可形成讨论场域。发展论、神正论的角度近年已经很少有史学家再讲，归哲学了。
