羅伯特 A.伯格曼，斯坦福大學商學院Edmund W.Littlefield管理學教授，斯坦福經理人項目主任。1981年以來，伯格曼教授一直在斯坦福大學講授戰略管理。在此之前，他曾供取於安特威Antwerp大學（比利時）、紐約大學以及哈佛商學院。他先後從安特威大學獲得應用經濟學學士學位、哥倫比亞大學獲得社會學碩士學位和組織管理博士學位。伯格曼的專業領域是信息技術産業的公司創業和公司戰略管理。他曾與人閤著《透視公司創新》，在主要學術與通俗刊物上發錶文章多篇。其最新力作為《戰略是命：戰略運籌如何造就公司未來》。他講授經理人項目課程，為全球大公司主持中高層管理研討會。他曾擔任多傢公司領導人的顧問和AboveNet Communications公司董事，現任Uniscape.com和SaveDaily.com董事。他還擔任e-Exchange公司和Viador公司顧問委員會委員。

陳勁，浙江大學教授，博士生導師，獲管理工程博士學位。現任浙江大學創新與發展研究中心副主任，是美國麻省理工學院斯隆管理學院訪問學者、英國蘇塞剋斯大學科技政策研究中心高級訪問學者、國際技術管理協會會員、中國科學與科技政策研究會學務理事、浙江省人民政府經濟建設谘詢委員會委員，International Journal of Manpower和R&D Management的客座編委。近年來主要從事企業技術創新管理等方麵的教學、研究與寫作，先後獲中國高校科技進步一等奬、教育部人文社會科學優秀成果二等奬、國務院政府特殊津貼、教育部霍英東教師奬、教育部“高校青年教師奬”以及國傢傑齣青年基金。

Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation takes the perspective of the general manager at the product line, business unit, and corporate levels. The book not only examines each of these levels in some detail, but also addresses the interaction between the different levels of general management - for example, the fit between product strategy and business unit strategy, and the link between business and corporate level technology strategy. Each part of the book starts with an introductory chapter laying out an overall framework and offering a brief discussion of key tools and findings from existing literature. The remainder of each part offers a selected handful of seminar readings and case studies. Almost all of the cases deal with recent events and situations, including several that are concerned with the impact of the Internet. A few "classics" have been retained, however, because they capture a timeless issue or problem in such a definitive way that the historical date of their writing is irrelevant.
