There are trillions of poor people prisoned by their meager education, financial anxiety, and unnecessary self-consciousness. It’s scary to be eloquent about Kant and Marx among the bourgeoisie elites who might or might not be as intelligent and sensitive as Madam Michel in a neither sycophant nor condescending way. Leave her alone.

灰大嬸的故事。難得一個西方作傢不把東方習俗寫得東倒西歪，我也算欣慰瞭...the touch of orientalism still gets to me, but much better than most other things anyways.

英語翻譯的很擰巴，找本法文的看看去。終於讀完瞭，說真的蠻失望的。這書當年是我一個法國好友介紹的，當時就覺得看不下去。今年翻齣來讀居然發現其實主角是日本富裕老男人。日式生活什麼都是對的，實在叫我接受不瞭。本以為是法國勞動階級老年婦女和法國富裕傢庭年輕人互相救贖的故事，結果卻是日本拯救法國。哎！最後門房必須死啊，要不，日本富翁配門房的跨階級，跨民族的愛情？

於茫茫的虛無之中，支撐我們繼續探索,等待的，是生命裏一個個意外的刹那。想到《簡愛》裏麵，簡愛的那段長獨白，不美的，貧窮的人，內心裏也有著高貴的自尊。這本書是日記體，很容易陷入大段的自憐，自戀，獨白，腔調很重。故事起瞭轉摺，女門房心裏開始起瞭漣漪的時候，我覺得辛酸又可愛。大傢都說這是女文青必讀書目。我大概也是這樣自說自話的樣子?
