從Standard Nabisco到RJR Nabisco到KKR buyout，尤其是最後一部分，真是一個冗長的deal。。看Ross Johnson由輝煌到疲憊，看各個公司為自己的原因而較勁。每一章的主題很明確。

第一波士頓從始至終是跑龍套的，但卻由此起死迴生。沒有搞懂KKR最後齣價的道理。

12年剛買這書的時候還是個無知大學生，對書裏描繪的東西十分好奇；5年過去瞭最近讀完的感覺是“太陽底下無新事”和“80年代美國投行純advisor role啥都沒乾拿的fee竟然那麼多”... 書裏無關緊要的細節確實多瞭點，不然就5顆星瞭
