不知道为什么，描述和故事总有点不流畅感，可能是我对这个系列的书不熟的缘故。但是故事本身很不错，很震撼，刚看了个开头，惨烈的战争，复杂的“人”性，托尔金显然不是浪得虚名。  

你一定听说过《魔戒》，由魔戒之王引出的一系列故事；可你也许没听说过在那之前发生的另一个故事《霍比特人》，一个矮小的霍比特人与13名矮人的寻宝奇遇记；但你可能更没听说过在那若干年前的悠远传说-《精灵宝钻》，以及那段历史中一个荡气回肠的英雄故事-《胡林的儿女》。 ...  

本书和《贡多林的陷落》同属《未完成的故事》系列，可视作《魔戒》系列的前传和番外，对于中土世界的设定和中土神话体系也算是部分的补完。 《胡林的儿女》基本上可归类为英雄史诗，风格类似于《尼伯龙根的指环》、《贝奥武夫》等，因此在行文上，本书沿袭了《魔戒》系列的优美...
