變故令他與世隔絕，不被理解，甚至産生自我懷疑，直到死亡變成瞭“不得不”履行的義務。 想起《變形記》，兩者都是以死亡為結尾而又戛然而止，他們在生理死亡之前，已在社會關係上死去瞭。

起初想要重讀托爾斯泰，就是想到瞭《西伯利亞的理發師》裏車廂內的場景，現在看來，女主讀托爾斯泰，也的確像這部作品裏說的一樣，是真正活著的人。相比安娜卡列尼娜，這本是精短許多，然而在我看來卻比托翁的其他作品要更加鋒利，也許復活纔能與之相比。伊凡伊裏奇之死，名副其實，死纔是高潮，寥寥數頁就能使人直麵關於生和死的拷問……There also the further back he looked the more life there had been. 昨天準備走的時候，學生突然過來，隻好陪她一起自習，這纔提前把這部讀完。“有時候我們坐在火車上會覺得火車是在嚮後行進的，直到某一瞬間纔幡然醒悟真正前進的方嚮”……什麼時候能去乘一次就好瞭，西伯利亞大鐵路，大概沒有比帶上一本托爾斯泰更閤適的瞭吧
