说来惭愧借了一堆VSI，这个假期也只囫囵读完这一本

短小精悍，算是上乘的英文文学入门引导读物。能在这么短的篇幅里把中世纪开始到现代的英文文学大亨的名字都讲了一遍，虽然不可能讲透，但是盘点这个领域的牛人就是最好的入门课啦。

看常耀信之前看了这一本，从儿童文学讲起。

不建议当入门书看作者预设读者已经对欧洲英国文化背景有基本了解我自己觉得大篇幅放在了探讨“英国” 而不是“文学”上加上举例批判理论的方式和表达都比较英国白男看得我脑袋一抽一抽已经入门当快速的梳理还有一点用但是如果阅读感受非常流畅的话又没必要看这本书了
