A.A.米爾恩（Alan Alexander Milne，1882—1956）生於倫敦，大學讀的是數學，參加過第一次世界大戰，當過英國老牌幽默雜誌《笨拙》的副主編。在為小朋友寫書以前，他已經是一位大作傢，寫瞭許多長短篇小說、劇本、詩歌。不過讓他聞名世界的，還是他的兒童文學作品。

米爾恩的兒童文學作品，主要是四本書，兩本是童話，主角都是小熊維尼：《小熊維尼》（1926）和《小熊維尼角的房子》（1928），兩本是兒童詩：《當我們很小的時候》（1924）和《現在我六歲瞭》（1927）。

我收藏过许多维尼的书，有乔向东译本、吴卓玲译本、任溶溶译本的，因为还没有全读完乔本的，所以先不做评论。但就整体性感觉，这本书更适合20-30几岁的大人或大孩子看。不象任溶溶和吴卓玲的译本，比较适合给小孩子看。很高兴有这么一本书，让这个世界上更多的人真正的知道真实...
