"Maybe that's what writing is all about, Sid. Not recording events from the past, but making things happen in the future". Auster has a weird sense of intuition and sharpness. I wonder what the world is like for him, and what it is like to be him. I can sense his abysmal hopelessness. I think he still hasn't come to terms with himself yet.

《墜落的人》中有句話模仿鬆尾芭蕉的俳句，“還沒有離開紐約，就已經開始想念紐約”。這本小說中的紐約仍舊是一個故事套疊的世界，強烈的書寫情結，相互纏繞的敘事綫。奧斯特對中國元素有偏愛呀，到瞭《月宮》更是如此。

從巴塞羅那開始，這本書陪著我一整個西班牙的行程。一開始真的很難讀進去，因為作者以第一人稱的口吻開篇，而這個第一人稱又偏偏是個作傢，正在構思他的小說。我第一次看到書頁下的附注居然能有這麼長，在附注裏又有故事情節。這位書裏的作傢在創作和現實中來迴踱步，不同的創意構想、寫作實踐，病痛的摺磨，對妻子和她好友（也是他的偶像）的認識、熟悉、猜疑，藍色筆記本的魔力，中國文具店主讓人吃驚的錶象和生活的差異。在沙灘上，海邊的椅子上，賓館裏，青年旅社裏，長途車火車上，睡前的颱燈裏，漸漸地，我開始被這種奇怪的邏輯和剝離的情節們吸引瞭。後來旅行結束瞭，迴到中國好久纔想起來還沒讀完。沒想到又被結局徹底的震驚瞭。有很多地方很讓我不能繼續讀下去，必須要坐在那兒迴味一下，因為實在非常的powerful。
