知道這本書和它的作者完全是因為《三體》，第一反應甚至把它想象成瞭一部小說。。。顯然我忽略瞭，作者是科學傢，葉文潔也是，她們要靠數據和分析說話。。。正文300來頁，list of principal sources就有50多頁。。。有點囉嗦，可讀性一般，可是真的需要大傢一直讀下去。

Rachel Carson (1907-1964) spent most of her professional life as a marine biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. By the late 1950s, she had written three lyrical, popular books about the sea, including the best-selling The Sea Around Us, and had become the most respected science writer in America.
