Briony made stupid and obstinate mistake on the hottest day in a summer, accusing innocent Robbie, her sister's lover, of raping her cousin and putting him in jail for three years. She managed to unit their love after the WWII through a fantasy novel as her atonement. Cruel truth is, Robbie died during in the war and Cecelia got bombed in a clinic.

看的時候也和彆人一起說瞭Briony不少壞話。可是，我簡直太清楚在她那個年紀的敏感與想要擁有秘密的渴望瞭，對她根本討厭不起來。這本來是個悲傷的故事，看完卻隻覺得人生大多不如意，可是愛情這麼奇妙。
