I was something that lay under the sun and felt it ,like the pumpkins, and I did not wa...

A glimpse of countryside life makes me desirous and tranquil. Hard life and setback can witness the fire of life. My Antonia

I've never read a novel about immigrants in west America before coz it seems not an appealing topic to me. BUT! Cather shifts my convention completely. I love her use of language-soft and blue. It's not only a sad (or happy?)story about Ántonia, it's about 'patria', movement, race and outsiders. I wanna call out: 'My Ánontina!',like her pa before.
