好会写！一天里看尽了一个人的一生/难得看到男性视角的麦克尤恩，也很感人/我多么希望在青春期时有个那样的爷爷给我那么多钱让我背英国诗，就像张无忌偶遇高人当上武林盟主/还以为医生会做手脚报复那个强盗，没想到是这样的结尾，作家的美好幻想，恶人会被真善美（此处是诗）打动，放下屠刀立地成佛/最喜欢他和妻子之间的感觉，一点也不像现实中的苟且夫妻，很美好/作为中年危机里的中年男人，这个主角十分惹人喜爱

Listened to the audiobook read by James Wilby. Very good narrator. His Daisy, Rosalind, and cockney Baxter made me chuckle though. Liked the details on literature, poetry, Blues and Glenn Gould. Found the theme and subject overall uninspiring. Nothing we haven't thought of before. I'm so tired of the perspective of a middle class white male...
