当年读中文版觉得这个故事磨磨叽叽又矫情，情节也足够简单，重新读了两遍原文，发现作者写得极其流畅，探讨得足够深刻，又蕴藏了很多讽刺的味道，果真是“文笔清新”。

可惜豆瓣木有我那一版的封面。Not in the least overshadowed by the successful movie, and offers many new insights. The 12th chapter is brilliantly written. I wish I have a pond like that much more than a passionate George.
