评分George had turned at the sound of her arrival. For a moment he contemplated her, as one who had fallen out of heaven. He saw radiant joy in her face, he saw the flowers beat against her dress in blue waves. The bushes above them closed. He stepped quickly forward and kissed her.
评分Englishness是一種桎梏。結局並非100%皆大歡喜的。George和Lucy真是可愛的主人公；Lying to George一節超級好看。
评分當年讀中文版覺得這個故事磨磨嘰嘰又矯情，情節也足夠簡單，重新讀瞭兩遍原文，發現作者寫得極其流暢，探討得足夠深刻，又蘊藏瞭很多諷刺的味道，果真是“文筆清新”。
