作者喜歡把 PayPal 的對手描述成蠻橫、心機深沉、官僚，PayPal 的團隊志在改變世界，Peter Thiel 英明神武，在 Confinity 與 X.com 合併後的管理危局出面力挽狂瀾，只是 brief detour from his career as an investor。總之，PayPal 團隊具有 entrepreneurial team 的所有優點，decentralized, nimble and talented，這個啦啦隊實在好賣力。

一本paypal从诞生到上市到最后出售给ebay的传记。印象最深的是paypal经历了很多次山雨欲来甚至大厦将倾的局面，也最终击败了竞争对手。中间穿插Elon Musk一度执掌公司，最终让位给Peter Thiel的一段也挺有意思。两人棋逢对手，皆是不世出之将才。
