一本paypal從誕生到上市到最後齣售給ebay的傳記。印象最深的是paypal經曆瞭很多次山雨欲來甚至大廈將傾的局麵，也最終擊敗瞭競爭對手。中間穿插Elon Musk一度執掌公司，最終讓位給Peter Thiel的一段也挺有意思。兩人棋逢對手，皆是不世齣之將纔。

作者喜歡把 PayPal 的對手描述成蠻橫、心機深沉、官僚，PayPal 的團隊誌在改變世界，Peter Thiel 英明神武，在 Confinity 與 X.com 閤併後的管理危局齣麵力挽狂瀾，隻是 brief detour from his career as an investor。總之，PayPal 團隊具有 entrepreneurial team 的所有優點，decentralized, nimble and talented，這個啦啦隊實在好賣力。
