morris kline是大傢名傢，可是這本為文科生寫的所謂數學教材真的不推薦……教材內容程度也就初中水平，主要還是太羅嗦……毫無可取之處；當然，單純從學英語的角度看，讀讀也無妨……裡麵一些名傢引語倒很精彩，這貌似也是洋人寫書的習慣，篇首總要引點什麼……

不要被標題騙瞭，這裏的nonmathematician指的是美國文科專業的數學很差的那一部分學生，國內高中數學學得還不錯的真心不要看。看瞭幾十頁以後扔廢紙迴收箱瞭，都沒bother去捐掉。真心的，裏麵太多觀點太陳舊瞭，翻瞭這本書終於理解為什麼有些書可以叫做“毒草”，很多觀點簡直是毒害人心啊。

數學科普可以說無人齣其右瞭。
