S.C.U.M. (society for cutting up men) Manifesto by Valerie Solanas (April 9, 1936 – April 25, 1988) . 1968年在在紐約街頭通過傳單發錶本書後，她半瘋癲地跑去槍擊Warhol，被捕，被確診被害妄想，20年後身無分文地死於三番某精神病院。

考慮到圍繞在作者周圍紛繁的語言和事件，很難斷定作者是否有意諷刺。看論文說她的題目可能被編輯修改過，但選用scum也不可避免會指嚮society for cutting up man。不過拋開這些後人編織的謎團，文本本身相當無聊（文體還有點意思），那個時代各種思想雜糅在一起，一種不知道是不是戲仿的男性世界反轉。不管研究者怎麼努力也很難讓這個文本獨立於同時代女權主義而經典化。
