A very interesting book, written by many Nahuatl people. Also a pretty good book for practicing critical reading.

评分最早了解Tenochtitlan的陷落还是通过帝国时代II征服者蒙特祖玛的战役，做得非常好，尤其是加入了西班牙人来临之前Aztec各邦之间的激烈内斗，墨西哥人的优势显然不足以抵御全新的敌人。这本由亲历者叙述整理文本重新编辑的集成很好地体现了西班牙殖民墨西哥早期的天主教传教与拉丁化教育成果。史实的可信度似乎有待考察 但文学化的叙述手法 尤其是对Montecuhzoma心理的描画可谓是精彩绝伦了 作为一个帝国首领如何面对突如其来的似神非神的他者（简直是外星人的存在）在庆典上屠杀当地人实在是很不厚道 但最可怕的在于这一叙述中西班牙人动机的缺失 让屠杀变得毫无理性可言 以宾客之礼迎入却惨遭客人杀害。所谓西班牙人的悲痛之夜更是墨西哥人悲痛反击之夜。 后来历次反抗细节不亚于地道战 非常机智
