最早瞭解Tenochtitlan的陷落還是通過帝國時代II徵服者濛特祖瑪的戰役，做得非常好，尤其是加入瞭西班牙人來臨之前Aztec各邦之間的激烈內鬥，墨西哥人的優勢顯然不足以抵禦全新的敵人。這本由親曆者敘述整理文本重新編輯的集成很好地體現瞭西班牙殖民墨西哥早期的天主教傳教與拉丁化教育成果。史實的可信度似乎有待考察但文學化的敘述手法尤其是對Montecuhzoma心理的描畫可謂是精彩絕倫瞭作為一個帝國首領如何麵對突如其來的似神非神的他者（簡直是外星人的存在）在慶典上屠殺當地人實在是很不厚道但最可怕的在於這一敘述中西班牙人動機的缺失讓屠殺變得毫無理性可言以賓客之禮迎入卻慘遭客人殺害。所謂西班牙人的悲痛之夜更是墨西哥人悲痛反擊之夜。後來曆次反抗細節不亞於地道戰非常機智

A very interesting book, written by many Nahuatl people. Also a pretty good book for practicing critical reading.
