這個愛情故事也太甜瞭，居然是馮內古特的小說，和其它黑色幽默作品的風格有些“格格不入”。結尾反轉大贊：Newt did stop. He did turn. He did call. “Catharine,” he called. She ran to him, put her arms aroud him, could not speak. 這句絕瞭：”One foot in front of the other,” said Newt, “through leaves, over bridges“ 就像標題請男女主long walk to forever呀！

很簡單的故事，但挺有浪漫氣息的，因為有愛，所以最後纔會在一起，這一對還是很幸運的。 just one foot in front of the other，through leaves,over bridges.人生的路上，若有人陪著，該是多麼美好，幸運。
