尽管作者用一种冷静和克制的语调完成了叙事，假借爱情和科幻的结构探索当代问题，无论这种叙事的尝试改变了什么，这个故事是真的很无聊。可能也是作者自身族裔的问题，在处理难民/移民身份上有点过度浪漫主义化。选择了两个非暴力的主角，真的就深入难民问题的核心了么？或者本质上混淆了难民/移民的界限，（或者如今天上厕所墙上被人涂鸦的slogan一样，）legality（移民） ≠ morality（难民）。这个“门”作为一种突破，既不合法，也不道德。它并没有体现一种问题思考，而是在假想一种廉价的“和谐”。
