香农的传记还是挺难写的，他的轶事不多，也不是个爱显摆的人，很难探求他的内心世界。像书名中的“游戏”的叙述也主要集中在书的第三部分，作者也给了维纳、图灵等人篇幅丰富本书。像香农前半生的逻辑电路和信息论的贡献也是人尽皆知。不过读了本书我才了解到香农那篇《通讯的数学原理》内容，某种意义上还是篇计算语言学的论文啊。香农的好奇心和超强大的抽象能力成就了他。像他被布什弄去写的博士论文是遗传学的，但内核还是数学(生物数学先驱呐)。逻辑电路的内核是布尔代数，信息论也是在前辈的基础上，把抽象提升了一个层次，所以成了信息技术的“中心法则”。最逆天的是他玩完这些之后还搞迷宫老鼠的机器，这得算机器学习的启蒙了。感觉香农像是早生了几十年。思维够发散又够抽象，他的快乐就是这种东西，像钱只是他用来研究股票中的数学的工具。

Claude Shannon传，作为一个不爱显摆，比较封闭的人，他的传记其实不好写，因为难以进入他的内心世界。Shannon的厉害之处在于与生俱来的好奇心、游戏心态，以及超强的抽象能力。不管是读书、工作，还是教学，从不计较结果，只在乎这个问题是否好玩，即使开辟了一个新领域，如果不如以前好玩也会主动退出。在他追求兴趣的同时，有幸遇到了过去一百年最聪明的一群人，不过也是因为内向，除少数人之外他与多数人并没有深入合作。晚年患阿尔茨海默症，不再能思考，令人感伤。
