作者在國傢醫療體係，從小實習生到指導彆人的副主任醫生，六年左右的記錄和反思，文字很有趣和諷刺，有些讓人噴笑，病人塞進體內的怪東西沒有邊界，隨時有一位新的王者登基。 作者犧牲掉很多自己的私人時間，得瞭傳呼機創傷後遺癥，高血壓，嚴重缺乏睡眠，忍受著有些奇葩和挑剔的病人。 默默在醫療係統裏履行著自己的職責和進醫學院時的宣言。最後終於在快到達主任這個職業高峰時，選擇離開。 他寫的東西有些專業的，但對普通人還是很好理解，為什麼他會不顧傢人的反對，不顧自己多年的醫學院學的知識，不顧積纍的臨床經驗，選擇瞭PlanB。更讓人傷心的是，他很多同事也隻是在尋找降落傘的彈開開關，準備著從醫療體係跳到其他領域。

吐槽功力那是一流，看英文版有些稍顯吃力，有些沒get到點。所有的病人醫生都是那麼迴事，多一點這種書宣傳，相互多一點理解。

This title is a huge spoiler. Despite the author have already told you it is going to hurt, the end is still unexpectedly sad and heartbreaking. He didnot mention it is going to hurt so much. I love his narritive, all those humor and smart remarks which only make the pain more unbearable.

確實很心痛. (1) 醫療改革之類的都是越改越差啊, 主要的限製好像還是錢. (2) 這本書就像其他醫生自傳裏描述的, 醫療人員也痛恨NHS bureacracy. 病人痛恨NHS效率低下, 政府就靠增加醫生的工作時間之類的來對應, 但是醫生得不到休息也容易齣錯. (3) 大多數人缺乏醫學常識, 可能不止是醫學常識所以也不能有邏輯地思考問題, 就會怪醫生這個那個, 造成醫患關係緊張. 然後政府又隻會一昧地討好stupid and daft masses, 於是醫生這個職業的位置更險惡瞭 (4) 很多病人生活習慣也不良, 吸煙酗酒吸毒執著於sex, 如果大傢都好好生活可能醫生的負擔也小很多?

Cherish every doctor I encounter and show my genuine gratitude towards them. it's the first time I know that working in a labour ward is more arduous, unfathomablely difficult than I used to think There are many roads we can stumbly beat on. Being a doctor, facing endless emergenciea is never solely for money's sake. To sum up想和醫學生做朋友。

I cried, I laughed. Sometimes there are too much medical techniques involved, but it’s still worth reading. A glance on the English doctor’s life, How he decided to go med school, how he persisted, how he made fun of life even when he was too busy to slee...
