讀的時候，陷入瞭對倫敦的瘋狂的思念。郭小櫓在西方世界很紅，這本書最初是我的意大利同學推薦給我的，我沒有覺得她有意去please foreigners，她的風格化寫作很有趣，很青春，對中西愛情關係的隔閡寫得也很真摯

故事简单，语言也简单，但是却不乏精彩深刻之笔，比如题目这句“our Chinese live in the expectation”——中国人不容易满足，社会也不容许轻易知足。  

受推荐看了该书，能受到好评让人很是疑惑。 整本书为全英文，对于前半部以支离破碎的英文所表达内容和情绪,以及为何会产生那些broken english，恐怕只有中国人或者有中国式思维的人才能引起共鸣吧。 但是呢，这本书所表达的一些意识形态以及对中西方差异的描述，与其说夸张矫情...
