周越老师研究宗教有很深的人类学底色，关注人多，关注结构少，但这不能否认他的“Doing”一词特别有解释力，因为do是在讲how，是在讲形式上的东西，非常的practice，这种practice虽然别的研究中会展现，但是他是有意识在说，很难得。-ji zhe

"周称当代中国社区宗教传统的复苏有三大原因:1·朝拜及其仪式支持请客及互相帮助等传统价值观,以及它们与根深蒂固的农民组织之间的联系;2·地方精英们利用寺庙和寺庙组织,把它们当作重要的政治、经济及符号资源,并与政府协商把地方传统合法化;3·中央政府把一些权力下放给地方政府,使地方政府有机会调控地方宗教活动,甚至从中受益,因此催生新式的政府-社会互动关系。"

周越：《灵应：在当代中国做民俗宗教》，可与岳永逸、安德明的书对读，另该书的参考书目非常好用。作者更强调“doing”这一个动态的行为过程，而不是静态的盆景化剪裁和切片式的民族志书写。【通过黑龙潭大王庙的研究，探讨地方寺庙与地方政府之间的互动模式：1、地方寺庙寻求合法性的途径；2、地方政府的调试和控制；3、宗教领袖与政府官员之间的关系私人化】
