英文版《联邦党人文集》有许多著名的版本，企鹅版、耶鲁版都很不错。但耶鲁大学弗里曼教授为《美国革命史》课程指定的参考书是Signet版（第十三周阅读材料），亚马逊上20多块钱就可以买到，数量有限，豆友们赶紧下手吧。

先说共和。 一般，我们现在说起民主和共和这两个词的时候，它们的内涵是非常接近的。但在麦迪逊、汉密尔顿他们这里，这两个词是有着严格区分的。麦迪逊说的民主是直接民主，是人民直接聚会、面对面行使政府职能；共和制，是人民通过代表或代理人，间接行政。一个直接，一个间接...  

其实就是《联邦党人文集》的新版，这部著作的重要性和经典性就不言而喻了，它所包含的思想就是美国宪政的理论基石。问题在于，这本书在此的简介显而易见是错的阿，风马牛不相及嘛。。。
