Females need to justify full devotion/commitment to academic career, rather than pregnancy, etc. Need to contribute REALLY originally.

在讀這本書以前一直是很支持Yau的。現在看來好像Tian在此事中更正麵一些。但可能也是作者的偏見吧。無論如何讓我對某些事有瞭更新的認識值得推薦。

本人是学数学的，看这本书主要是了解一些八卦罢了。但是我想说，书后半部分对围绕庞加莱猜想的争议及对佩雷尔曼本人的一些判断还是有些不恰当的，正如很多人对数学界、数学家常有的偏见一样，而且里面的某些揣测显得过于恶意了。 八卦部分有：关于柯尔莫哥洛夫与（拓扑的）亚...
