在讀這本書以前一直是很支持Yau的。現在看來好像Tian在此事中更正麵一些。但可能也是作者的偏見吧。無論如何讓我對某些事有瞭更新的認識值得推薦。

interesting, gossip, political. be very aware of reputation in small academic community- don't be too showy and aggressive. treat others respectfully and professionally. Females need to justify full devotion/commitment to academic career, rather than pregnancy, etc. Need to contribute REALLY originally.

目前只看完了第一章多一点。最开始本来是好奇一个价值百万美金的数学题是什么样的，打算看看题目而已，没想到翻开书后看了半天没找到题目，倒是收获了不少历史知识。苏联其独特的体制吸引了我，更让我着迷的是在这种体制下诞生了不少天才！奈何时间有限，书吧关门了…………接...
