sigh，這可能是唯一一本我能把書名全部記下來的英文書.....和Mind of Egypt一起每年讀一次，跟詛咒一樣樣

期末對自己的奬勵。1949年齣版，1954年英文版，作者自己最看重，前言中建議讀者最先讀這本。和The Sacred and the Profane重閤之處不少，很多例子都一樣。典型的Eliade風格：材料多，從吠陀到美洲神話，引用都out of context，論證不嚴密，結論卻很精彩。結論時刻重復，但又不覺得煩，也是怪瞭。Momigliano說，Eliade有很多錯，但有關循環論時間觀的結論基本準確。

在最後一章Eliade終於揭下瞭他宗教曆史學傢的皮而露齣瞭神學傢的本來麵目。而我越發發現我竟然真的是一個馬剋思主義者，至少是情感上的。
