Reading this book is an amazing trip，as if you live in Fuling with the author . Ho Wei says he describes a remote rive town，which is just a small part of China. However I think the humanity and personality of Chinese represented in the book are common. Anyway，this is a masterpiece and the touching text is beyond my poor English description.

一開始有很多共鳴覺得很樸實動人，看到一半的時候在亞馬遜看瞭一篇關於這本書的惡評論點充分切中要害...然後我對這本書産生瞭很多看法。呃，我太容易受影響瞭這樣可不好啊·········

有個書評用瞭poignant形容這本書，確實，盡管此前有笑齣聲來的時候，讀到最後纔發現有些傷感。那些鮮活可愛的四川人——抄手老闆一傢，涪陵師範學院的學生們——和他們壓抑在讀詩罵髒話的磁帶、復雜的笑容、發紅的眼眶之中的深厚的感情和離彆的傷感，讓我忍不住掉瞭眼淚。何偉在涪陵兩年，對中國以及他身邊的中國人的瞭解確實是不斷深入的，而且有些切中要害。另外，我還是很敬佩何偉這種開放的心態的：被圍觀被嘲弄因為空氣汙染生病與官僚的外辦發生摩擦他都沒有抱怨，還是抱著一顆想要瞭解中國和中國人的心在涪陵生活。我格外喜歡那個學生自己修改的戲劇結尾旁白。說何偉和梅緻遠是“涪陵最大的yahoos"師生之間的壞壞的默契，也是學生對兩位老師的終極緻敬。最後，這故事很適閤拍電影啊，有沒有哪裏考慮一下啊！？

再讀此書，真的覺得中國社會這十年真是劇烈劇烈的變化，現在迴首十年前，仿佛是一個完全不同的社會形態。
