用手指消除回视，对于默念重要的是看的比念的快。速度与理解都是单独练习，练其中一个时不用在意另一个。 读书之前要想清楚一本书的价值以及读它的目的，然后再确定阅读方式，速度，需要提取的信息。其中对信息的提取可以从最粗略地找出全书观点到找每章每节的观点到细致地理解每一句话的含义。重点在于达到目的而不在于一字不漏。要想更好掌握信息，读完要回忆。学会使用视觉回忆图来掌握内容。新内容要在一个长时期中的许多短时间段中来学习。根据经验，想达到某个阅读速度练习速度要为该速度的三倍。
