幽默讽刺，语言俏皮而内里严肃，“我们要向这些作家寻求什么解决的方式呢？伟大的是他们的暴露社会的深度与广度”

翻译很经典。唠叨略微多。萧伯纳的人物似乎经常在辩论，而且似乎代表了某种理论，涉及哲学似乎太多，特别是第二个故事。对世道讽刺多了，立场反而看不清。

我最喜欢的英语剧作家之一，人民文学出版社50年代出版的四卷本萧伯纳戏剧集，翻译得太经典了！

人民出版社60年代出版的书诶！朱光潜先生翻译的文风比这本50年前的书页上的蛀洞还要hollow(穆旦先生的翻译梗啊～)
