一部超链接著作，但过多的人名和书名是否太过跳跃以至于成为了阅读的负累？对福柯《词与物》的解读有启发性。开端这个问题，不好说。翻译得感觉不错。

“起源”在伊甸园里，“开端”在伊甸园外。人类自己的历史，其实就是重建这座乐园的历程。所以“开端”是人类创建自己不朽的起点，它是唯一的，但每个人却都理应创造一个。而萨义德的这本“开端”，其实更像是一本主题式的论集，写得很是恣意，不够集中可能是个问题，但看得很过瘾。

将开端作为一种意图的实践性活动、一种创世的父权权威。结构庞杂，对于数片作品的分析也堪称振聋发聩。
