裘帕·拉希利

印度裔美國作傢，齣生於倫敦，父母為印度移民，隨父母三歲移居美國。

1999年齣版首部短篇小說集《疾病解說者》獲得2000年普利策小說奬。2003年齣版首部長篇小說《同名人》，2006年被改變成電影。2008年齣版第二部短篇小說集《不適之地》，即登上《紐約時報》暢銷書榜首。她的其他短篇小說多在《紐約客》上發錶。

2005年，拉希裏齣任美國筆會副主席,2012年進入奧巴馬總統的美國總統藝術人文委員會。

裘帕拉希利擅長對於移民生活的描寫。

充满的东方文化和细腻情感的书。很久之前读的了，看泡芙小姐时，里面说的。好奇就买来看了，当时家庭关系还不较复杂，读里面好几个关于婚姻关系的故事，心里有些小小的震撼，原来心灵还可以是这样的。似乎某部分确实了，或许从来就没找到过。

作者少年写了个短篇集得普利策成名。写来写去大都是印度孟加拉裔跑到美国东北某藤校读博士，然后写那种背景的一代二代的故事。看起来很无趣没什么可写的一群，因为海外大部分30岁以上的中国人也是类似背景，华人论坛上的话题总是那些，但作者却能一本接一本的写，还写出新意，...
