I really appreciate the succinct but very to-the-point introduction about the whole cultural tie. How the enlightenment followed the Greek tradition. How the Romanticism formed the modern view. What the scientific revolution brought. It helps connect so much of my own observation of modern western preferences.

書的優點是很薄，讀起來很快。書的缺點也是很薄，很多地方剛若有所悟就一筆帶過，不知道若是300頁左右的歐洲史會怎樣。
