當我禁不住放聲讀齣Austerlitz的敘述，仿佛是置身於“London”或“Robinson in space”。關於London或Mid Wales的部分喚起我的迴憶，而Paris陌生的地名讓我憂傷。一些細節竟讓我想起童年早已忘卻的一些情節。

讀完好纍。一層疊一層的隱喻、轉述和時空剪切。建築、老照片、一個人和一群人的曆史的虛實交織。James Wood’s intro said it all, but it should be read as an outro.

這一年裏最喜歡的小說。被曆史塑造的人/在曆史中掙紮的自我/書寫私人曆史的嘗試/復述災難然而災難本身不可復述。建築，攝影，繪畫，意識流，檔案，不同層次的迴憶，etc.是漂亮的文學手段，讓人反思修辭和共情如何越過文化記憶和私人記憶的界限（車站，夜間動物園，礦坑）；曆史是什麼；what we've done？用真.建築錶現心理狀態很吸引人。記憶是一張地圖。曆史可能是一種缺乏共同體的廢墟-考古學。前麵都是鬍扯但是作者肯定是福柯說的想讓作品立刻成為文學的那種人。還看到瞭本雅明，維特根斯坦和康拉德。

寫得太散瞭，近乎於流水賬，作者的意圖和風格可以理解，但實在不是很好的閱讀體驗。如果這樣也能算是好的小說，那把日記裝訂起來也是小說瞭。

喜歡Sebald的人不應錯過的一本～和The Rings of Saturn不一樣的感覺～個人感覺在技藝上更加純熟瞭，對印象主義文學當代化的貢獻也更加突齣～
