偶然在書店看到的，發現還不錯就拿來讀瞭。看完之後最大的感受是自己認識的單詞和讀過的書太少瞭。不過有差不多一半的人名和書名還是聽說過的，因此感覺還不是太差。自己目前的水平還沒法判斷這書講得靠不靠譜，不過的確給我提供瞭很多新的思路。這書作為高考語文輔導書也許不錯？美國的確有高中把這本書作為“必讀書目”之一的。繼續努力吧

作者說得很清楚，投入文學研究的學者，首先都是一群喜愛閱讀文學作品的人，因為喜愛，所以纔會想要去認真而熱情的去廣泛涉獵和細讀，充分發揮聯想和想象，解析西方文學作品或神話般的追尋或反諷的幽默，並且最重要的，為普通讀者能夠最完整地接觸到文學作品隱藏的樂趣和內涵而寫齣瞭這本書。閱讀過程中，隨處可以見到作者廣泛的閱讀量，睿智的解析，文筆優美但友好，不炫耀晦澀的術語。最後一章名為fare thee well,誠懇感謝瞭讀者堅持到瞭這次閱讀旅程的結束，提供瞭鼓勵，以及對於即將告彆的讀者們未來閱讀旅程的最好祝願，看得幾乎要飆淚，反觀國內大多數教材，沒有作者和讀者親切互動的口吻，反差強烈。小說詩歌絕不僅關乎情節或情感煽動。親切，幽默，乾貨多且實在，真誠，值得二刷的好書。
