Forster的失望到底有多彻底？不止是两个截然不同的民族不能相互尊重和理解，而且地理迁移和文化错置甚至像《黑暗之心》一样让人的道德变质，英国绅士淑女的风度礼仪荡然无存，一个个丑陋到极点。人和人的交流也总是磕碰纠结，要么欲言又止，要么谎话连篇，或者经常干脆不知道是谁在说话。生活就像当地的气候燥热难忍毫无乐趣可言。读这种书真烦死人。摔。
