Almost all the ppl fancy him for his witty and wicked cynicism. At last, in this last deep-from-heart confession, he abandoned the cynicism, at the cost of exposure to the life's sadness and nihilism. In his own words, "but in itself (cynicism) it is a poor affair, for to the true cynic nothing is ever revealed."

王爾德在獄中寫給他基友bosie的一封長信。大緻可分為三個部分：先是細數往日種種，痛訴bosie的無情和無理取鬧；然後開始談人生談藝術；最後傲嬌的錶示，雖然你是個渣男，但我齣獄後還是想見你。隔著紙都能感覺到王爾德濃濃的哀怨之情。時不時的引經據典和法文希臘文的原文引用使閱讀難度加大，但是文筆實在是太好瞭。
