that's a lousy book, with a lousy child spitting fires around everybody. True it gets me laugh sometimes. But it barely says anything constructive. I want to slap Holden in the face, n' tell him to stop bitching and start to do things already! don't know why americans love that book.

Everytime he gets more "depressed" I found it funny, funny that he has not "practically" accepted the fact that he himself, like everyone else, is "phony", and there isn't really anything "lousy" about it. And I cried...in a phony way...I was surprised I got these little kids running around/little ducks swimming around in my heart.
