花瞭一周時間看瞭前麵五章。作者寫得明白易懂，不是那種十分注重證明的數學書，適閤工科背景的人看（作者寫此書的初衷也是這個）。最讓我喜歡的一點是，此書有不少篇幅是講如何將一個看似不像凸優化的問題化成凸優化問題的形式，已經優化問題的轉化。這個是很重要的內容，解決瞭我之前看論文的一個重大睏惑！

Convex optimization problems arise frequently in many different fields. This book provides a comprehensive introduction to the subject, and shows in detail how such problems can be solved numerically with great efficiency. The book begins with the basic elements of convex sets and functions, and then describes various classes of convex optimization problems.
