法語詞匯量不足會嚴重影響閱讀體驗；除此之外這本書是真好看。裏麵的每篇小短文單拿齣來都是精彩的散文。是成熟英語文體傢的手筆。

早幾年讀可能會關注底層生活瑣碎故事。現在明白流浪漢不隻是個人選擇，也有社會原因。書中少有長評，最觸動的是：He lives in a rhythm between work and sleep, without time to think, hardly conscious of the exterior world; his Paris has shrunk to the hotel, the Metro, a few bistros and his bed.……To sum up, a plongeur is a slave, and a wasted slave——不要成為潛水員（plongeur），警醒自己：保持上進，多多社交，好好理財--2018年第23本，kindle第36本

前麵還挺有意思的（想起那段在歐洲大陸現金不足的日子…），然而後勁兒不足。轉去小酒店後就開始略無聊瞭（然而投行狗看得各種有共鳴…），倫敦的流浪漢生活更是忍不住一目十行地快進翻完到最後……不過描寫還是很生動的

特彆喜歡寫巴黎小酒館打工的見聞。還有我作為一個中國人看英國人吐槽法國人跟美國人對吃的品味23333。很引人深思的一本書，並且在苦逼工作麵試被拒期間覺得各種有共鳴覺得相比之下自己生活還不是太壞。然而倫敦部分不好意思我看瞭兩遍都沒太看進去講瞭啥。

喬治奧威爾再次以他驚人的觀察力和細緻的筆觸呈現給我們一個如此廣泛存在卻往往被忽略的社會底層群體。他們的生活是那麼具體，卻又是那麼不真實，赤貧給人身心帶來的痛苦和麻木恐怕隻有經曆過赤貧纔能知道，喬治奧威爾無疑用自己的親身經曆為我們打開瞭瞭解這個階層的窗。通過他的處女作，我仿佛看到瞭一個實在得毫無水分的偉大作傢的誕生。

Eric Arthur Blair (1903-1950), better known by his pen-name, George Orwell, was born in India, where his father worked for the Civil Service. His unique political allegory "Animal Farm" was published in 1945, and it was this novel, together with the dystopia of "Nineteen Eighty-Four" (1949), which brought him world-wide fame.
