Lynchian與《妖夜慌蹤》僅僅是書中若乾事例的其中一種，除卻第二章"The Femaine Act"對新/舊黑色電影的女性形象有一些論述之外，基本上與林奇無關，Arts Of Ridiculous Sublime是一本於韆禧年寫就的論述，其真正的主角是網絡時代及其後現代By-Product：鮑德裏亞，後認知主義，德勒茲，哈拉維（盡管在對“賽博格”的定義上與哈拉維截然相反）。以及齊老爺子永遠的"Lacanian"主體性，地位大約等同《新韆年文學備忘錄》之於卡爾維諾。
