桌邊一直放著的案頭書。還記得大二的時候老師第一次推薦給我steinberg，磨蹭瞭好長時間纔去藉，啓捲遂驚艷，去google的時候纔知道，在我去圖書館藉來這本書的前一天，藝界泰鬥leo steinberg與世長辭。

很喜歡Steinberg的寫作風格，他語言的運用實在是inspiring，啓發瞭我的另一個並不聯係很大的project，真是難以想象英語不是他母語！麵對藝術（或其它許多領域甚至所有），人終究都是情感的動物。最喜歡其中相對更理論的幾篇並不隻談論一個人的文章，比如the idea of "Public"; "Fritz Glarner and Philip Guston at the Modern"; "The Eye Is a Part of the Mind"等等。看得到很多他自己的影子。能把自己代入學術文的學者最可愛瞭！
