首先，此书已经有数篇更值得细品的精彩书评，无比推荐阅读；第二，我给五星评价的个人标准为颠覆现有知识体系，而由于我略知一点相关内容，所以最终给了四星，对于对科学哲学一无所知的读者，此书也许值得五星。此书对我的助益在于把过去完全零散的点梳理了一遍，其中一些持续困惑的问题被提到哲学层面进行了初步解释，并指明了未来可继续深挖的方向。在这个时代，虽然主流群体大多已向“科学”表示出各种好感，甚至以“科学”之名为标榜，但是可以毫不客气的说，如果你没有了解过科学哲学这个知识领域，那么任何与“科学”沾边的思想与行为都是应该被怀疑的，起码是建立在低端科学观之上。科学哲学是科学的元学科，它思考最为高大上的终极科学问题：什么是科学？不同理论如何比较？实验方法是否有极限？科学能否解释一切？等等。答案恐怕超乎你的想象。

Samir Okasha is Professor of Philosophy of Science at the University of Bristol, where he has taught since 2003. He currently serves as Associate Editor of Philosophy of Science, and has previously served as Associate Editor for the European Journal for the Philosophy of Science. He is currently the holder of a European Research Council Advanced Investigator Award, for a research project entitled Darwinism and the Theory of Rational Choice. His articles have appeared in multiple leading philosophy and science journal, and he has authored several books, including Evolution and the Levels of Selection (OUP, 2006) and Evolution and Rationality (CUP, 2014).

Looking at scientific revolutions and the issue of scientific change, he asks whether there is a discernible pattern to the way scientific ideas change over time, and discusses realist versus anti-realist attitudes towards science. He finishes by considering science today, and the social and ethical philosophical questions surrounding modern science.
