《未來簡史》大火時，我曾在某微信群開噴：“與其相信那些虛頭八腦的預測論斷，不如迴歸實際代碼，因為隻有後者纔能告訴你關於人工智能的真實預期要低得多得多。”不齣所料，立刻有人站齣來：“你憑什麼說簡史這書不好，它哪裏說的不對？”之後我閉嘴瞭，我知道即使自己舉齣各種例子也會最後陷入無意義的爭論中，何況我也沒那個專業素養能成功駁斥簡史作者那看似完備的幾百頁內容，而時隔幾年之後今天總算齣現瞭一份相當靠譜的科普論證材料，在我看來這本書最大的意義是在至今為止異常的機器學習狂潮上係統性的澆上一盆冷水，即便個人並不完全贊同作者的觀點，但仍無法否認此書是相關領域最值得一讀的科普書，尤其相比那些在TED舞颱上鼓吹奇點時代但卻沒有拿得齣手的論文或産品的未來學傢們。評價扣一星是因為書中的解決方案仍是大構想而非具體實踐。
