总觉得作者控制不好剧情的发展，写长篇小说还是略微吃力。书中最出色的反而是关于主角父母的支线，只言片语，却打动人心。

感觉没她的短篇小说好。其实我宁愿重点放在父子关系上，我最喜欢的地方都是父子互动，比如说结尾。

最纠结又蛋疼又像我的小说了。其中女配角因为不能适应父母文化和移民文化，干脆在第三文化找寻表达方式。。然后结婚本来不想随父母的意思坚决要找美国人最后还是找回自己群体的一员。。成功文艺青年的生活也不过尔尔。结局真是唏嘘。

看了电影，再来看书，还是很喜欢，情节和人物塑造都更丰富立体
